Brasov area mountains

Brasov area mountains, April time of year, snow still covers the mountain tops. Sky time is long gone although is just April. The permanent green of the pine trees combined with leafless trees are producing an unique landscape.

Dracula's Castle access steps, Brasov, Romania

Dracula's Castle access steps, no extra safety measures were left aside. The steps were designed to be as difficult as possible for any unwanted visitor to be able to enter the castle. The difficult access was the fist defense line against all enemies as they could have been easily neutralized by the Castle guards.

Dracula's Castle yard view. The view castle inhabitants had form the top of the access way. On the right the staff house on the castle's lake. Fishing was a source of fresh food in case of cutoff access to nearby village.

Traditional Staff House

Traditional staff house on Dracula's Castle propriety (Bran Castle), Brasov, Romania.
The house was built for the staff attending the needs of the castles inhabitants and to serve in the day to day care of the castle.

Town Hall, Buzau

 

Buzau Town Hall has been build like a palace to serve as Buzău's city hall between 1899 and 1903 and it is  still called the Communal Palace. 

The picture shows the the South-East Communal Palace facade as seen from the Dacia Square.

Dracula's Castle, Brasov, Romania

Brasov, Bran Castle.

Bran Castle is very well known as Dracula's Castle. The castle is situated in the  Rucar-Bran Pass in between the Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului Mountains.
